Sedona is know for its red rock views and hiking trails but tucked away in the canyon just outside of Sedona is Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek wedding venue. For those who are looking for a mix of Flagstaff and Sedona, this is the prime location for you. At Orchard Canyon you’ll find the grand Sedona mountains surrounding you, apple orchards scattered along the property, and quaint wood cabins nestled between thick trees. It’s the perfect location for not only a wedding but a weekend getaway with friends and family.
Getting to Orchard Canyon is an experience in of itself. The most common way to access to property is traveling through the heart of Sedona. After driving through MANY of the roundabouts in Sedona you will continue to take State Route 89A out to Oak Creek Canyon. Along this winding road you’ll drive past various adorable lodges where you can stay, Slide Rock State Park, and all the main hiking attractions of Oak Creek Canyon. Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek is located behind the Banjo Bill Picnic Site. The road is short and narrow but a small bridge will take you over to the switchback that will bring you up to the property.
The property is large, separated by different common areas, with cabins sprinkled throughout varying in size. As listed on their website of 2023, the Orchard Canyon is available for weddings up to 50 people. Think intimate with your closest friends and family. The cabins are available for getting ready and a weekend retreat for you and your guests.
The main lawn can also be utilized as a reception space if you decide to use The Orchard as your ceremony location. In the event of the wedding shown below – they set up a long arched reception table to host their guests. With the help of Cloth & Flame, the tables and culinary experience were taken care of.
The secondary location for either ceremony or reception is in The Orchard lawn space. This location is the show stopper to wow your guests. Not only is it placed directly within the apple orchard, you will have the Sedona mountain range as the backdrop. Although it is not the full red of the Sedona red rocks – you can see bits and pieces of that beautiful stone popping through the green trees and rocks.
Or again, transform The Orchard into a reception space up against the mountain side.
Honestly, there is not a bad place at this venue to take a photo. Both of these weddings took place during fall so we had some GORGEOUS fall foliage to add extra love to the photos. The cabins themselves make a great backdrop for photos of bridal party or just within the green + trees. Don’t forget about the little bridge tucked up between 2 cabins as well to end your bridal photos.
In summary – if you are looking for an intimate space outside of the main Sedona area for your wedding. Look no further, Orchard Canyon on Oak Creek is the perfect spot for your wedding.
