// Cannon Beach Couples Session //
I first met Christina and Darren for their elopement a few years back in Zion National Park. Each year they try book a travel adventure somewhere new. First year they drove across the country, and for the second, it was off to Cannon Beach. Of course we had to book a couples session while they were out there! During the session there was talk about what the next adventure was. Bryce Canyon? I may just have to find a way to sneak myself onto that trip as well.
We had originally planned on shooting at the popular Ecola State Park with gorgeous views of Haystack Rock. Our plans quickly changed as we discovered it had been closed for the week. Instead, I found a perfect intimate park that still gave us the lush woodsy look we all had hoped for. All our dreams of the moody woods session came to life as some GORGEOUS fog rolled in during the session. It honestly was straight out of a dream.
I always recommend to my couples that they bring in elements that represent who they are. Head over heels with their little pup, Christina and Darren had to include her. She almost stole a show a few times. Cold brews in hand, we finished the session on the beach. Despite the cold temps it was still a stunning sunset and one we won’t forget! Definitely one for the books!
If you are visiting Cannon Beach for the first time, be prepared to fall in love. There is a strip of small mom and pop shops that you can browse through. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, grab some fresh salt candy from the cutest candy shop just off the beach. Looking for some hiking? Check out some easy trails here!
