This modern wedding at The Wigwam was a slice of heaven after a year of hectic reschedules due to the pandemic. Alex and Desiree had to unfortunately move their wedding date twice to keep their family and guests safe during COVID-19. We were all sitting on the edge of our seats in anticipating to see whether or not their October wedding would happen. The date rolled around and it was a breath of fresh air to be able to continue with the event as planned!

After a wild year, the wedding was almost like a 2 in 1 for not only the bride and groom but their guests as well. They were able to attend this beautiful wedding, but also have a weekend getaway to relax after a stressful year. Desiree mentioned having her guests stay at the same place as the venue made it a much more enjoyable experience for everyone.

One of my favorite things is to ask the bride and groom what their favorite part of the wedding day was. Desiree responded that she LOVED spending time with her bridesmaids in the suite before the ceremony. Getting to relax and enjoy their time getting ready together was just so much fun. All the girls had gone to the resorts spa before starting the wedding events to get ready and relax together. Talk about a perfect way to start your day!

A part that I loved from their wedding day was their cake cutting. Desiree’s mom was determined to make it the MOST perfect day for her. She surprised everyone with a big bang of fireworks after they cut their cake. Such a unique way to wrap up this modern wedding at The Wigwam.
