I have driven by Palm Springs COUNTLESS times on my way to Los Angeles but have never made the stop. Man oh man am I in love now! This dreamy Palm Springs engagement was everything I had hoped it would be. I knew there was a lot of really unique and artsy spots around the city but man – those mountains almost steal the show!
Layla and Matt decided to start their engagement session off at Moorten Botanical Garden . If you haven’t been before I definitely recommend it! The entry fee is only $5 and it’s full of all the cacti and desert plants your heart could desire. My personal favorite part is the greenhouse towards the back that also makes for the ideal Instagram photo location. It’s a pretty tight space so just be prepared to share the room with other photo takers. Fun fact! You also can get married in the gardens. Can you imagine?! It is perfect for intimate weddings.
For your engagement session I always recommend to add some personal touches to it. We could shoot at the place you had your first date, bringing your dog, or playing music together! In this case, their pup Tibbers, joined us for the beginning of their session and he was too cute. Hey may have tried to chew on a cactus at least once. After we left Moorten we headed into the main street of Palm Springs to find some unique architecture and art to shoot with. I loved all the different areas we could utilize and most of it was just on the sides of restaurants, shops, and even a liquor store. Sometimes you just have to wing it and it ends up being amazing!
