Arizona isn’t one for much of a “nice” summer necessarily. Normally come April or May we are all SWELTERING in the heat. This year we were lucky enough to have a beautiful Spring and slow transition into Summer. The weather had been so nice and all I wanted to do was curate a session that embodied it. A dreamy summer couples session. Sit with me for a moment to visualize it. A cool summer evening outdoors, the fields and city are drenched in golden sunlight, and you are there with your person. It is a moment seeping with love and intimacy. You know, the drool worthy stuff you see in movies that make you long for these days.

Craving to create something beautiful, I began my planning. To me, it wasn’t about an epic location. Instead, it was more important to focus on just the couple and their connection. For example, our location for the beginning of the session was a random Palo Verde tree in a mattress store parking lot (RIP my allergies). The second half took place in a random field next to a half built warehouse. The vision I had only warranted a small space and about a hour and a half of some quality time together. Queue a uniquely curated playlist for the couple and you’ve got yourself the perfect recipe for creating that dreamy summer couples session.
