While on vacation with my family I had decided to do a couples session in downtown Chicago. It was our first time visiting and I wanted to experience as much of it as I could. Shooting in new locations is always so exciting and these city views DID NOT let me down. I’ve never considered myself much of a city person but, damn, Chicago proved me wrong on that.

Marissa and Riley grabbed a glass of wine at City Winery, the cutest little wine bar along the river, before getting the session started. I knew right away they were my kind of people. You can never go wrong with a good glass of wine before your session. We spent the next hour or so along the river, shooting amongst the pedestrians, marveling over the water taxi as it went by (ok that last part was just me). This desert girls mind was blown. By the end of the session we already began scheming plans of who would visit next. A trip to the desert or another downtown Chicago adventure?!

Today these two celebrate their anniversary and I thought it would be the perfect way to showcase their crazy fun love with this blog post. I am seriously blown away every day by the different couples and other creatives I get to meet with this job. I couldn’t ask for anything better!
