Kati and Derek had one rollercoaster of wedding planning. The two began planning, just as any other couple does, with finding the perfect venue. Unfortunately, their first THEN second option fell through, which left them scrambling to find something new. El Chorro wedding venue in Scottsdale essentially fell into their laps with the help of their wedding planner and it worked out perfectly.

El Chorro holds a bit of rustic charm with its pueblo style building, desert landscape, and vintage gates. Strewn across the property are lush trees, grassy areas, fountains, and beautiful bougainvillea sprawling up the building. All of the little details create such a picturesque and cozy environment.

Kati and Derek both look back on their wedding day with such fondness – remembering sweet vows, a lighthearted funny ceremony, and a hell of a dance floor with their guests. When asked what their favorite part of the day was, they both answered, everything. It was perfect in every way. The two soaked up every moment being together, kissing and being cute (Kati’s own words!), while their guests raved on how fabulous they looked. I can attest to that! They both looked stunning.

I always like to ask the couples what a tip or suggestion would be to other couples planning their weddings and I absolutely loved their answer. Let it go. (Don’t start singing Frozen here now…) There are so different elements that go into planning a wedding day that sometimes things can go wrong. Just focus on the important things and let the rest go – everything else will fall into place and go beautifully.
